How to Print Coloring Pages From an Android Phone

Open the coloring page, image, or file in Chrome on your Android phone. At the top right, tap More, then Share, then Print. Use the down arrow to open the available print settings, select your destination at the top, and tap Print. To stop before sending anything to paper, choose Save as PDF from the same destination menu and select where to save the file.

The important first move is opening the coloring item itself. A shop page, download page, or browser tab that only points to the item can produce a preview of the surrounding screen instead of the page you meant to color.

Start With the Coloring Item, Not the Listing

Before opening Chrome’s print controls, identify the page, image, or file you actually want. If it arrived through a download, finish that step and open the downloaded item. If it is already visible in Chrome, make sure the artwork—not a button, message, or shop description—is the main content on the screen.

This clean starting point matters because the print preview reflects what Chrome has open. When the wrong screen appears later, return here and reopen the intended coloring item rather than trying to change the source from inside the print controls.

Use Chrome’s More, Share, and Print Sequence

Google’s current Chrome for Android instructions give one short sequence:

1. Open the Chrome app on your Android phone. 2. Open the page, image, or file you want to print. 3. At the top right, tap More, then Share. 4. Select Print. 5. Tap the down arrow to view or change the print settings. 6. At the top, select a printer. 7. Tap Print.

The Share label can look as though it belongs only to messages or social apps, but it is also Chrome’s documented doorway to Print on Android. Open Chrome’s own top-right More menu, choose Share, and look for the exact Print action there.

Once the print screen opens, pause before tapping the last button. The source you opened, the destination you select, and the settings shown for that job all meet on this screen, so it is the useful place to catch a wrong item or destination.

Read the Preview as a Source Check

We recommend reading the preview in a simple order: artwork, destination, then settings. Look first at the preview image. It should show the coloring content you opened, not the listing, a download prompt, or the surrounding website. If the wrong content appears, back out, open the intended item in Chrome, and begin the More → Share → Print sequence again.

Next, read the destination at the top. Select the printer you mean to use, or choose Save as PDF if you want a file instead. The down arrow opens the settings available for that job; change only the choices you understand and need.

Add or Turn On an Android Print Service

When the printer you expect is missing from Chrome’s destination list, open the phone’s printing settings. Google’s Android printing guidance gives this path:

1. Open Settings. 2. Tap Connected devices. 3. Tap Connection preferences, then Printing. 4. Tap a print service and turn it on, or tap Add service and enter the printer information.

Return to Chrome after the service is ready, reopen the print screen, and read the destination list again. Choose only the printer or service you recognize for your household setup.

Because Android menu labels can vary and some of Google’s settings steps apply only on Android 9 or later, use Save as PDF when the route or printer does not appear on your phone.

Save the Print Preview as a PDF

From Chrome’s print screen, open the destination selector at the top and tap Save as PDF. Choose where to save the PDF on the phone. Before confirming the location, note the folder so the file is easy to find when you are ready to use it.

This route is useful when you have the right coloring content open but do not want to choose a printer yet. The saved PDF comes from the same preview you just read, so check the source before saving. When the location picker closes, find the file in the folder you selected rather than repeating the original browsing and download steps.
